An elderly woman who had gone missing was found dead at a stream of Ranitar-1, Phidim here on Monday. 

The body of woman identified as Balmaya Gurung (68), was recovered from a Namdukhola today.

According to her family members, she had gone missing since Friday.

President Dr Yadav wished that the departed soul may rest in peace



President Dr Yadav has expressed sadness over the demise of the Father of South Africa, Nelson Mandela. 
Dr Ram Baran Yadav has said in a condolence message that Nepal has lost a good friend with the passing away of Nelson Mandela. 

The President has also expressed heartfelt condolence to the government, and people of South Africa as well as to the members of the family on behalf of the government and people of Nepal and on his own. 
Dr Ram Baran Yadav also wished that the departed soul may rest in peace.

Relatives of accident victims refuse to receive bodies

Relatives of persons who died in an accident at Sukajor VDC in Ramechhap, refused to receive the bodies today demanding compensation of Rs 10 lakh each from the local administration and transport entrepreneurs. 

A bus veered off the road and plunged 100 metres below the road and seven persons were killed at Paleban of Sukajor VDC. The kin of the deceased had submitted their demands to the transport entrepreneurs and local administration after the accident. 

The relatives of the vistims were not happy when DAO had decided to give relief of 1 lakh rupees to each victim's family. The irate relatives took out a rally and chanted slogans in Ramechhap .

Relative of one of the deceased,Gautam Kumar Shrestha said the authority had given Rs 550,000 to two families whose kin were killed on the same day in another road accident in the district. “The authority does not seem to be serious. We have been discriminated,” he added. 
Meanwhile, the incensed relatives said they would not receive the bodies until their demand was fullfilled.

12 killed in bus accident in dadeldhuda.

This Sunday morning a bus met with an accident at dadeldhura which is heading from Bajura to Kailali. In this accident 30 people injured and twelve were killed .

This bus plunged about 300 meter down the road at Bhimdutta Highway in the morning at 5 am . Ten passengers died on spot and two of the injured died at Sub Regional Hospital. Some of the injured are in the critical condition.

The accident has occurred when the driver fell asleep in Dadeldhura District. The driver , Thir Bahadur Kadatyat arrested by police after the accident. Driver Thir Bahadur has admitted that he had fallen asleep while driving.

There are only five dead have been identified . Those identified are Lachhiram Thapa, of Kailashmandu in Bajura and Dal Bahadur Adhikari, Suraj Bahadur Adhikari, Hari Lal Khatri and Bhakta Bahadur Sarki, from Bajugaun village. 

There are most of the passengers were from Jumla and Bajura districts, said the Police. Recent days the highway have become  more frequent road accidents.
